Dog Walk

A shy and quiet little stray
She found her way to me
I had no way of knowing
the "best dog in the world" she'd be

I cannot recall one moment
that she wasn't next to me

Up here in horsey heaven
where green grass grows a mile high
I must tell you that I miss you
but there is no need to cry

I prance around all day
with my head up in the the air
Never on the bit again
and no one even cares!

We shared some special moments
Our first blue ribbon, you and me
First jumps, and first dressage tests
Our hearts and spirits free

I've got lots of friends to play with
and shady trees galore
I've found my ever after
