A single, bright and shining star
on my deepest, darkest night
And when I feel I cannot go on
you guide me with your light

Our life on earth, so beautiful
Losing you, such great despair
I miss our special moments
and that love that we once shared

I know that you're still with me
at least within my heart
Your memory lives through me
even though we are apart

As Christmas time approaches
Your very favorite time of year
I'll remember all you meant to me
And hold those memories near

You lived with great compassion
with so much love to give
In the end you still gave of yourself
so that others could live.....

My dream of you again last night -
like so many nights before
What could've, should've, might have been
I'll ask forevermore

I've dreamed your eyes and of your smile
yet have never seen your face
I guess the timing wasn't right
for you, my life this place

I loved you oh, so instantly
And had given you your name
Your spirit passed right through me
yet my love was just the same

Maybe sometime, a different place
someday we're meant to be
But until that day's upon me
my spirit can't be free.
